Weather Glasgow
See the weather for GlasgowGlasgow weather is generally rainy and mild all year round. Scottish summers tend to be short, with only a few weeks of truly warm weather a year, while winters are mild and rainy, with little in the way of wintery weather and only a few snowstorms per year. Daylight hours are also a consideration in Scotland because of its northerly lateral position. In the winter, Glasgow’s daylight hours span between just before 9 am to just before 4 pm; while, during the summer, there can be up to 17 hours of daylight everyday. When packing for a trip to Glasgow, it is best to incorporate layers that you can peel off in case a stint of sunshine or warmth should present itself. Sturdy shoes that can withstand wet conditions are also important, and a good umbrella is generally useful. Though it is rare to experience truly hot and summery Glasgow weather, the city does see plenty of sunny days, particularly during spring and autumn when there is less wind.
